Laser Fantasy International - Three channel drive amp

Pinout for the edge connector and dip switches settings on the Laser Fantasy International three channel closed loop scan driver board. This is NOT an official Laser Fantasy document - for the latest info, contact Laser Fantasy directly.
This closed loop driver card has been superseded by newer designs but is still found in older equipment and is often available on the used/surplus market.

Edge connector

Edge connector has numbered contacts one one side and lettered contacts on the other

NOTE

1/ Wire colours shown are representative of General scanning G120D type galvos with DB15 connectors.
2/ To use the amp with unbalanced signals, connect signal to normal and ground connections for each channel. To use the amp with balanced line signals, connect to the normal, inverting and ground connections and adjust DIP switches.

DIP switch settings

X and Y channels [chan 1 & 2]
Unbalanced input - Normal image output : 2, 5, 7, 8 ON - all others off
Unbalanced input - Inverted image output : 1, 2, 4, 7 ON - all others off
Balanced input - Normal image output : 1, 3, 5, 8, 9 ON - all others off
Balanced input - Inverted image output : 1, 3, 5, 6,7 ON - all others off

Blanking channel [chan 3]
Normal output : 1, 2 ON - all others off
Invert output : 3, 4 ON - all others off
